Terms of Sales:

Payment:
We accept all major credit cards. Your credit card is NOT charged Online. We will charge your credit card at time of shipping.

Sales Tax:
Sales tax will be collected from orders shipped to a Connecticut address only. Tax is calculated on all merchandise, handling, and shipping. If you are a business in Connecticut please fax us a valid resale certificate and we will not charge you tax.

Ordering information:
We greatly prefer that You place your order Online, however you can order by Fax (212) 226-2573 or by Phone (212) 226-2567 (Voice Lines get very Busy).

Prices:
Our low quantity price breaks are intended to give the small jobber and the manufacturer the same access to competitive pricing. In large volume purchases other pricing schedules are available please fax us a request for a quote. Due to fluctuations in raw materials, fuel surcharges, availability, and labor rates our prices are subject to change at anytime.

Shipping:
We normally ship orders within 1 to 3 Business days. During holiday times; the time it takes to ship orders will INCREASE (see the Store Hours page). We ship MOST Orders standard U.P.S. ground or U.S. Post Office Priority Mail. We can also ship other carriers if prior arrangements are made. Long tubing and Large items may incur extra packing fees or oversize shipping charges. We do not calculate shipping online on orders over $200.00. Orders Over $200.00 must be packed and weighed to calculate shipping. This is so we can pack your order in the most economical way to save you money on shipping. Shipping and handling charges are determined by size, weight, and amount of packaging. Upon your request we can inform you of shipping costs before we ship your order, just check the box upon checkout (This will delay your order since we have to call everyone back after we pack their order).

Your order will be packed by an experienced person and we will make every effort to see that you receive it in good condition, although we cannot accept responsibility for damage done after a carrier has received it from us. In the event that a carrier does damage your merchandise please contact us immediately and we will assist you in handling your claim. Please save the box and packing material for inspection by the carrier. international shipmentS: If you receive an article that was sent from abroad that is damaged or has some contents missing, take it to any Post Officeâ„¢ right away. Be sure to bring the item, the mailing container, wrapping, packaging, and any other contents. The Post Office will verify the damage and have you complete a claim form. The package may have to be returned to its country of origin to complete this claim. We will not accept claims after five days of receiving your order.

Back Orders:
We will make every attempt to completely fill your order but in the event of a back order we will contact you when our stock is replenished. Backorders may incur shipping charges, it depends on the items. If your back order is urgent please contact us for estimated time of arrivals.

In Store Pickup::
We will allow pick up of your order at our location as long as you place the order before you come. We will call you and let you know it's ready. If you arrive prior to ordering or a phone call letting you know your items are ready for pick up, you will be turned away. With that said, we have a three hour minimum "will call" time for pickup orders.

Privacy:
Your privacy is important and we will never share or sell any personal or financial information to other entities. Your credit card information is collected online by a Secure Socket Server, the same way you do your online banking (you will see "https" on the address line and a lock symbol on the page). All information is processed by trusted employees that have been with our company for many years. All personal information is destroyed properly.

 

Errors, Breakage, and Returning Merchandise:

The Following Items Can Not be Returned:

BULBS • CUT LENGHTS OF WIRE OR TUBING • DIMMERS • TRANSFORMERS

If You have made an error or want to return an unused item:

*Please be aware of our new return policies*

Merchandise may ONLY be returned by contacting our customer service department and receiving a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA#). Please contact us about your intent to return items within Five business days of receipt of the goods . We must have the product back within 30 business days of receipt of the goods. (We would like to know about items being returned so we do not reorder these items from our vendors and wind up with to much overstock).

Do to rising costs returns are costing our company more each year. Returns cause waste of resources and loss of time. Your original order was processed by a person getting hourly wages. Your return will be processed by a person on hourly wages also. Your order was shipped in a cardboard box with packaging. Department of Transportation Regulations says Most boxes and packaging cannot be reused to protect products again, so most of the packaging from returns are discarded. Credit Card transaction fees are lost. We can no longer absorb the cost of returns and must pass this cost onto the person who is making the return. All returns as will incur a Minimum $5.00 processing fee or 20% restocking fee whichever is higher.

We do not refund any shipping or handling fees on returning merchandise.

An invoice is on the OUTSIDE of the box. Please have this invoice available when you call.

Please be aware we are not responsible for loss or damage of the goods by the freight company. We will be happy to assist you with your claim process.

We *Must* be contacted within Five business days of receipt of the items to make a claim with the shipping company. Packages are insured during transit. Products are *NOT* insured against damage at your home, shop, or on a job site. If you call after five days of receiving the goods and say you never opened the box and checked the items, we will refuse the claim. The shipping company has no way of knowing how that box was handled after you received it, and that is not their responsibility. Opening the box and checking the order is your responsibility.

Please save the box and internal packaging for ten days. The shipping company occasionally will ask for the broken item and packaging for inspection.

If We have made an error on an order:

We are always pleased by satisfying our customers. We will correct any error made by us without expense to you. An invoice is on the OUTSIDE of the box. Please have this invoice available when you call. Please call us within Five business days of receipt of the goods to report a mistake. We would like to know right away so we can rectify the problem and prevent us from making the same mistake over again. We will not accept any claims for damaged or missing merchandise after Five business days of receipt of the goods. Opening the box and checking the order is your responsibility.
